Rod's Secret Garden is a community garden in the heart of Northwich, created by Rod Inwood. Rod lived in Northwich for most of his life and on retirement from managing High Legh Garden Centre he spent ten years creating a magical space with wild planting, herbaceous flowers and a productive vegetable area. Sadly Rod passed away in February 2020 but the garden has kindly been entrusted to Transition Northwich. We (Transition Northwich) are currently building a team to nurture and learn in this space and will regularly open it to the community for activities and workshops. It's fun to work together but we don't want to break SD safety - please indicate when you plan to be in the garden - use the EVENTS calendar on facebook and create an event to add your times - 2pm onwards. Gardening sessions are frequent. Contact Transition Northwich to join in.
As well as the two herbaceous 'rooms' which are lovely to sit and relax in this is a very productive garden with a workshop space and healthy vegetable plot.
